For the first eight months of the current year, the number of guests accepted in Abu Dhabi hotels amounted to 3.7 million people.
This figure was published by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and represents a growth of 2% compared to the previous year. It is noted that this number demonstrates a steady recovery of the tourism industry in Abu Dhabi after the pandemic.
As noted, the leading nationalities among the guests include residents of the UAE, India, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. It was also noted that in September of the current year, a record-high visitor number was fixed at 531,824 guests, marking the highest figure in the last 19 months.
Hotel staff express joy from the fact that the tourism sector is once again on the rise and awaits further increases in visitor numbers in the coming months.
